Hartinder Dhami better known as H-Dhami is a successful British-Indian bhangra act signed in 2007 to Rishi Rich Productions (RRP), a joint partnership between Rishi Rich and entertainment entrepreneur Waleed Jahangir. H-Dhami has also signed a deal with Sony BMG India[1] for distribution in India.
H-Dhami is the son of Palvinder Dhami, lead singer of the 1980s prominent bhangra group Heera Group UK.[2]
H-Dhami released his debut album Sadke Java on July 18, 2008. It includes 13 songs and collaborations with Roach Killa, Chaaya and Mumzy Stranger. It produced three official singles with the supporting videos produced by XIX Film. The singles were the pre-released "Sadke Java"[3] as well as "Mitran Di Jaan" and "Har Gabroo".
In 2010, he was featured on the single "Gereh Kad Dee", the second single from PBN (Panjabi By Nature)'s album Crowd Pleaser. He collaborated with Mumzy Stranger for a Desi-version remix of Mumzy's "One More Dance" featuring H-Dhami. He also collaborated with the only North-American bhangra band En Karma on the song "Tere Bina Nahi Nachna". In 2010 he did a desi mix of Raghav's "So Much" and a remix of Preeya Kalidas' "Shimmy". All of these songs apart from Mumzy's "One More Dance" Desi-mix and Preeya Kalidas' "Shimmy" Remix were accompanied with music videos.
